Staff Worker
Staff workers oversee students on campus, provide guidance in developing and carrying out the vision, attend to various administrative tasks, and serve as a link to InterVarsity throughout the region and nationwide. Contact them if you have any questions about InterVarsity as a whole.

President
The president oversees all the ministries in the fellowship, and works closely with the staff to guide the chapter vision. (The president of La Fe oversees just that ministry, however, plays a similar role to the chapter president.)

Community Group Leader
These leaders will guide the overall vision of the community group and be a part of the vision team, helping people become more like Jesus and enter into His mission.
Personal Qualifications:
-
Is a maturing disciple of Jesus Christ, thoroughly committed and practicing basic disciplines, which stimulate growth in Christ.
Has attended Small Group Leaders Training, or equivalent.
Has ability to be spiritual shepherd of student leaders.
Is committed to InterVarsity's basis of faith, purpose and vision, and the goals of the InterVarsity chapter.
Is committed to attending and supporting the chapter wide activities

Meets individually with each leader twice per quarter. (one leader per week)
Cares for leader's personal growth and needs.
Prays weekly for the leaders in their community group.
Discusses use of the four components (nurture, worship, community, mission) in the group.
Works with Outreach person to ensure that the community group is involved in evangelism.
Meets corporately, weekly, with the leaders in his/her community group
Shares helpful ideas, resources and struggles.
Communicates with SGL to check on members of small groups
With the help of InterVarsity staff member, provides continuing training for the leaders.

(In partnership with community group team) guides the community in living out the vision.
Seeks to foster healthy group dynamics and creates system connecting members of the community Facilitates the placement of people interested in serving.
Keeps community informed about all chapter events, conferences, camps and other opportunities for growth in Christ.

Represents needs of community group to Vision Team.
Informs leaders in community group of any major decisions.
Places people interested serving in appropriate places during the year.
Bible Study Leader*
These leaders will teach and a community group to deepen in the knowledge of God and his purposes.
Personal Qualifications:

Is a maturing disciple of Jesus Christ, thoroughly committed and practicing basic disciplines, which stimulate growth in Christ.
Has attended Small Group Leaders training or equivalent.
Has a vision for ministry to members of the group to help bring them to greater maturity in Christ.
Has a vision for the Bible study as a vehicle for outreach to the campus.
Is committed to InterVarsity's basis of faith, purpose and vision, and the goals of the InterVarsity chapter.
Is committed to attending and supporting the chapter wide activities

Prays weekly for the leaders in their community group.
Discusses use of the four components (nurture, worship, community, mission) in the group.
Meets corporately, weekly, with the leaders in his/her community group
Shares helpful ideas, resources and struggles.
Prepares Bible Study questions and distributes to Small Group Leaders for familiarization.

Guides a weekly Bible study discussion for 25-30 people
Prepares the passage, provides historical background and summary of passage
Transitions into small group application lead by Small Group Leaders in small groups
Links applications from week to week to develop flow for the group

Outreach Coordinator*
These coordinators will help their community groups become witnessing communities. They will also resource the GIGs (Groups Investigating God) from their CG. If there are Chapter-wide events they will serve as the liaison for the CG.

Has attended Small Group Leaders Training, or evangelism training at Cedar.
Has a vision for ministry to members of the group to help bring them to greater maturity in Christ.
Is committed to InterVarsity's basis of faith, purpose and vision, and the goals of the InterVarsity chapter.
Is committed to attending and supporting the chapter wide activities

Prays weekly for the leaders in their community group.
Discusses use of the four components (nurture, worship, community, mission) in the group.

Helps community develop an understanding and commitment for evangelism.
Encourage and help resource the community for GIGs
Coordinate who is willing to lead and who needs to be place in GIGs
Challenging and holding people accountable to "Prayer, Care and Share" (ex 1 hour with friend in CG)
Liaison for CG in chapter wide evangelistic events
Invites others with passion for evangelism to plan and participate dorm and area outreaches
Leading celebration of evangelistic fruit

Recruitment:

Individually invite people to community group and other community events. This will happen initially at New Student Outreach, but will continue as we reach out throughout the year.

Receive questions from the Bible study leader in advance and prepare beforehand on their own with those questions in order to lead a discussion group.
Asking application questions that challenge people towards growth in individual faith and application of the vision statement.
To promote interaction with the Word and each other on a more personal level.

They are the "go to guy," the one who is more accessible than the other leaders.
To support people in the group, in prayer and by reaching out to them. Big sis/bro to dorm.

Leads a weekly discussion for a group of 8-10 students through observation and interpretation (guided large group time) and application
Meets personally with each group member on a regular basis for fellowship.
Social Coordinator (La Fe)
This person plans out social events and gathers a team of people to help run them.

This person plans the weekly Large Group meetings and organizes a team of people to create a friendly environment for people to worship, fellowship, and grow closer to God.

This person leads a team of people in running the sound, lights, projector, Powerpoint, and other technical aspects implemented during Large Group.

This person leads a team of people in setting up and tearing down worship team equipment, tech equipment, decorations, etc.

This person leads the fellowship into deeper times of prayer and celebration during Large Groups and organized prayer meetings.

These people support the LG coordinator by putting together or participating in skits, games, and other Large Group-related activities.

This person leads a team in learning diverse and multiethnic styles of worship (not limited to music). He/she leads the fellowship into authentic times of worshipping God during Large Group.

These people support the Worship coordinator in leading the fellowship in worship, frequently through singing or the playing of an instrument.
